The Secrets of History eBook David May
This well written and researched book examines some of history's greatest mysteries, from the existence of Atlantis and the legend of Troy to the questions about Pearl Harbor and the guilt of O.J. Simpson. Even well read people will find surprises, as well as subjects they never knew existed. The subjects range from geography to sea mysteries to crime to war to politics to literature. The book is arranged roughly chronologically, and each chapter is followed by a good list of resources for those who want to dig deeper than a general survey. If this book could be considered to have a fault it is the lack of a table of contents, but that's a problem easily ameliorated by quickly skimming and highlighting. I enjoyed this wide-ranging tome very much.Product details

The Secrets of History eBook David May Reviews
I really enjoyed this book. There is a wide range of subjects on the "Secrets" list. Think of the book as a compendium of short stories regarding alternative theories as to "what really happened" or "what might have really happened". Either way it was a fun read, JW
Very superficial coverage of various historical mysteries such as who discovered America, who killed Kennedy, but the author presents very few new facts and never comes to a conclusion.
Not your typical dry history book. Very animated and easy to read, yet very scholarly and informative! I really loved it!
This book is divided into short stories. Their just right for a short bedtime story. Their not stuffy history lessons.
The book is very entertaining and well written.
Quick review of many historical events. Easy read. Provides both sides and refers readers to further reading if they are interested.
Interesting bits of historical events. Found the sentence structure and grammar a little awkward at times. Some errors in the text, probably because of imperfect wireless transmission to my reader--this book seemed to suffer more of those incidents than normal.
I was pleasantly surprised by how fascinating I found this book. It was well-researched and shed light on many events about which I had always been confused.
